You can’t expect much from Rotterdam, Netherlands, regarding the city way of life. And it’s a big mistake. This is no more an industrial, grey and sad functional city dedicated to its port, one of the largest in the world. Nowadays, you could call it the Chicago of Netherlands, the city of amazing architecture. In 2014, the city opened a market hall. Very special. The entire project has about 100 000 m2 of activities, shops, apartments and parking.

The arch is 40 meters tall, full covered inside by a painting at large representing flowers and fruits, and were people can by food, have a drink, live in apartments and so on. The hall can also becomes an enormous covered public space. Original architecture. And the giant glass wall is stunning!

As you can see, the integration in the city center is nice. Just one thing: why grey?
